![]() ![]() However, it’d be great for more people to know about it and follow it so it becomes popular and who knows, maybe have an anime. And the shuuen fandom has not many people active. Right now this project is discontinued/ on hiatus, this established by the producer (songs-wise only, because the manga is finished). Also “week of demise” ended recently (on july 11th) so there are new fanarts going around. But I think it’s fun to understand it or give a meaning to it on your own while or after you read and listen to it. There’s more than what I said before related to the fox, character’s names and the way the manga is written and divided. It’s easy to tell that every part of the story was well thought. The songs are really cool, and how they add more to some characters depth is interesting. The characters design, both artistically and personality wise is very complete. Personally Shuuen is very close to my heart and love it very much. (If you don’t like vocaloid but still like music in japanese, there are covers too if you’d like to hear the songs!!) The other songs have IA alone or with all the others/most of them. And the main 4 have IA and another vocaloid each (Miku, Rin, Gumi and Mayu). There are 4 songs that are particularly related to each character of the occult club and their respective urban legend, and what happens to them while they try to complete Kokkuri-san’s demands. And after Mundane everyday (which is equivalente for the song Mundane heroes), you can listen to the other 3 songs left as you like! Though “Gentle Ghost Story” is about a film club’s kid so you can save that for last since it’s unrelated to the main plot. It’s not necessary to listen to them in a particular order to understand well, but if you want them to go along the manga you can use the chapter’s names as a guide to have a better insight of the characters and story. They also have cool and dynamic music videos that makes them even better. These 7/8 songs especially are the ones that are dedicated to any main character or because it tells what happened to them when de bookmark appeared. Now the songs! 7/8 of them are essentially related to the main story (occult club), but shuuen as a project has a lot more. And what happened before the occult club. I won’t say much about it, but their arc goes about how the 5 of them decide to make a movie about urban legends including the bookmark of demise. Because of this the story is constantly changing its point of view, so you can see everything that happens and understand better.Įach character has different motivations to “clear the game” or find the fox, and the stories are sometimes related/tangled with another character(s).Īlso, before the occult club existed the film club! And in the manga you get to know more about them too and a bit of the book of demise’s story. And each urban legend is associated to a character. From 1 to 4 they have the name of an urban legend. The manga is divided of series of 4 chapters. However, this way of “clearing the game” it’s very difficult because knowing one of them betrayed you just causes mistrust in the group and everyone gets paranoid. The game starts because there’s a traitor between the people who are playing the game, so if any of them is able to kill the fox the game can stop. The only way to pass the test is following the instructions or killing “the traitor/fox”. Once you do, each week one of the people who participated will receive a letter with instructions that must be followed. It’s a rumour about this book and a bookmark that appear once you summon it through a ritual (Kokkuri-san). He also knows about an urban legend of something that happens in their school. So he sometimes creates rumors that have a tint of something paranormal on them. One of them though, A-ya, really likes rumors and urban legends. Not all of them are there because they like the occult per se but they still enjoy being there and sharing stories. The plot is about 4 kids that are part of the occult club in their school. In the case of Shuuen, it has songs, novels and manga. And some of them have been turned into anime (Kagerou project/Mekakucity Actors and Mikagura Gakuen for example). Vocaloid projects are usually a series of songs that are correlated. Shuuen no Shiori, or Book of Demise is a vocaloid project made by 150-P. ![]() ![]() ![]() Here was something American to the core, something that pictured to us that for which we fight, and that which we love above all else. As all the men heard it, a tremendous roar went up, for here was something tangible. Over the waves there came the song that I, that none of us who ever spent our school years at S.C. Long, a USC alumnus, described the scene in a 1944 letter. As the task force motored ashore to Attu in the Aleutian Islands, music suddenly rang out over the waves. troops to capture an island in the Pacific theater of World War II. In 1943, “Fight On!” became legendary outside the university when it inspired U.S. Accompanied by fingers formed in the shape of a V for victory, a verbalized “Fight On” became a greeting, an expression of encouragement and a farewell in the Trojan Family vernacular, one that captured the reputation of the ancient Trojans as fighters no matter the odds. USC’s sports teams had been nicknamed Trojans in 1912 because of their athletes’ “fighting spirit” against teams who were “bigger and better-equipped,” according to Los Angeles Times sportswriter Owen Bird. Within a few years of its composition, “Fight On!” had become USC’s most popular fight song and a rival nationally to older, more established anthems like the “Notre Dame Victory March,” “On, Wisconsin!” and Michigan’s “The Victors.” Unlike those songs, “Fight On!” transcended its musical origins to become a motto for USC students and alumni. “As a campus musician, I was on the committee, and I’m glad to say I had sense enough to vote for ‘Fight On!’ over my own piece.” “To show how nuts people can be, the music committee awarded first prize to my song and second to ‘Fight On!’ ‘Fight On!’ has become probably the equal of the Notre Dame fight song in the country,” he wrote. Wesson, who went on to be USC’s first sports information director, admitted as much in a 1965 letter to the Los Angeles Times. ![]() Wesson’s entry ended up winning the contest and the $100 grand prize, but he later confessed the best song didn’t come out on top. Earlier that year, Wesson had written what would become the university’s official alma mater, “All Hail,” and was on the committee to find a song that would “generally represent the school, one that will be adaptible for all occasions and not characteristic of a season or single game,” according to the Daily Trojan.Įarly piano sheet music for “Fight On!” While many traditional fight songs are written in a straightforward 2/4 time signature, “Fight On!” is in a 6/8 time signature that gives it a jaunty lilt. Thirty songs were evaluated by the committee, including “Cardinal and Gold” by Al Wesson. ![]() In November 1923, “Fight On!” was entered into a song contest held by USC’s Rally Committee. The first chorus has the trumpets leading the melody, the second chorus is led by the sousaphones and drums keeping time and the third chorus hands the melody to the trombones with high brass and woodwinds playing flourishes underneath. Traditionally, three choruses of the song are played. This provided more opportunity for rhythmic and melodic variation and gives it its jaunty lilt. “Fight On!” was uniquely composed in the compound 6/8 time signature. Most traditional fight songs are written in a straightforward 2/4 or cut-time meter, suited to musicians marching down the field. Grant helped Sweet write the lyrics, and “Fight On!” was born. Listening in, he told Sweet the tune would make a great fight song. Vaudeville-performer-turned-dental-student Milo Sweet was playing the song’s melody on a piano at USC’s on-campus YMCA when religious studies major and USC band saxophonist Glen Grant passed by. The story of “Fight On!” dates back a year earlier, to 1922. Although now considered one of the greatest college fight songs, when the song’s composers entered it into a campus song contest in 1923, it came in second. 26, the Trojan Marching Band will celebrate the centennial of its iconic fight song, “Fight On!,” at USC football’s regular season finale at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. It’s the fight song that begat a motto for an entire university - and this year it turns 100. ![]() ![]() ![]() This drop makes a tiny spot on the paper. First, the mixture that is to be separated is dissolved (if it is not already in liquid form.) Then, a small drop of the solution is applied to a piece of special chromatography paper, which is a porous paper similar to filter paper. To perform paper chromatography to separate components of a mixture, there are several steps. One version is called paper chromatography. The fixed solid can be made of different materials and in different shapes, depending on the version of chromatography that is being done. When it comes to consumption, extracts are most often vaporized, via a vape pen or dabbing, but they can. When Jamie Dimon, the chief executive of JPMorgan Chase, spoke with analysts about the deal on Monday, he said he thinks that First Republic is the last sizable bank that will need to be resolved. This percentage can be determined in one of three ways: (1) the mass of the solute divided by the mass of solution, (2) the volume of the solute divided by the volume of the solution, or (3) the mass of. ![]() The method works because of the differences in the ways various components of a dissolved mixture interact with a fixed solid. The main solvents used in cannabis extraction are carbon dioxide, butane, and ethanol. Still Remains is an American metalcore band from Grand Rapids, Michigan. They formed out of previous local bands Shades of Amber and Unition. One way to describe the concentration of a solution is by the percent of the solution that is composed of the solute. It is used quite widely for making small-scale separations and identifications. In the present experiment, we will use a method called chromatography. Many different methods have been devised for separating mixtures into their components. For example, pure water always boils at 100☌ (212☏), provided that the test is done at atmospheric pressure. (A "pure substance" consists entirely of just one thing meaning one kind of molecule.) Because it does consist of just one thing, it always behaves in the same way when tested. In order to study these materials chemically, we must first treat the mixture in some way to separate it into single, pure substances. Most natural materials, such as seawater, air, oil, coal, and so on are mixtures. The solubility at 50 C is 244 g/100 mL of water. Remain solvent definition: If a person or a company is solvent, they have enough money to pay all their debts. For example, the solubility of glucose at 25 C is 91 g/100 mL of water. Increased temperature usually increases the solubility of solids in liquids. One of the problems encountered most frequently in chemistry is that of separating a mixture into the pure substances which compose it. A supersaturated solution contains more solute at a given temperature than is needed to form a saturated solution. \)Įxperiment 726: Paper Chromatography: A Technique of Separation and Identification ![]() ![]() You might be wondering which scale to use. Next we will look at the 1:200 scale ruler. Hopefull this is making sense at this stage. So if we draw from 0 to 6 on a piece of paper we could fit the line on a piece of paper 60mm wide (6cm) If we look at our 1:50 scale ruler, 300 lines up with number 6 on the ruler. We either need a piece of paper 300mm wide, or scale the measurement down so it fits on a smaller piece of paper. So we could easily draw a line that length on paper 100mm wide (10cm or 10 on the ruler)Īnother example, say we measure a wall 300mm wide in real life, and want to draw it on paper. The 500 represents 500mm, so exactly 1/2 metre. If we use the 1:50 scale ruler, we could measure from 0 to 10 on the ruler to get 500. We would also need a piece of paper at least 1/2 metre (500mm) wide in real life meaurements. Going back to my example of the wall earlier, lets imagine this time we measured a 1/2 metre long wall (500mm), so we would need a 1/2 metre long ruler. What these numbers means are for every 1 unit = 50 units (or in this case 1mm = 50mm) 1:50 and 1:200 in the bottom left corner of each image of the ruler. You will notice the different numbers in red So the number 1 on the ruler would be 10mm (or 1cm)ġ metre (m) = 100 centimetres (cm) = 1000 millimetres (mm)īelow are the differences between the normal ruler and a certain scale. The Typical ruler each black line equal 1mm in real life length. As I mentioned before, a proper scale ruler will already be adjusted so you don't need to do this. They look like a normal ruler you would have seen but have different increments, and spacing between increments.įig.1 below is a Typical Ruler, and I am going to show you how to use a normal ruler to work out the scale. Techical drafting people usually use specially designed rulers called scale rules or line gauges. We take one length, then convert it into a smaller size (in this case), then draw a smaller line to represent it. In this instance, we can use a piece of paper then draw a line on it that represents the 2 metre long wall, but only aįraction of the size of the life size wall. and in Australia we use the measurements in millimetres (mm).įor instance, if you measure up your house then went to draw it on a piece of paper, if you measured a 2 metre long wall, then you would need to have a big piece of paper just to draw it on there. A scale drawing is a drawing of something that is 'scaled' so that the drawing fits on a piece of paper that can then be given to people such as builders, trades people etc. This table lists some common scale factors you may come across when dealing with different types of models.HOW TO SCALE ARCHITECTURAL BUILDING PLANSĪll technical drawings use what are called scale drawings. Scale factors for common engineering scales Drawing Scale For instance, a scale factor of 1/10 can be rewritten as 1:10. ![]() Step Three: Rewrite the Fraction as a Ratioįinally, rewrite the fraction as a ratio by replacing the fraction bar with a colon. Our fraction simplifier can help with this step if needed. Again, this may not result in whole numbers, so adjust accordingly. You can do this by dividing both the numerator and the denominator by the numerator. If you’re scaling down, then reduce the fraction so that the numerator is 1. If it’s not desired, then simply reduce the fraction like you would normally. This may or may not be desired, depending on your use case. Note: by doing this, the numerator may become a decimal. To do this, divide both the numerator and the denominator by the denominator. ![]() To find the final scale factor when you’re scaling up, reduce the ratio to a fraction with a denominator 1. If you’re scaling up, that is, if the scaled size is larger than the actual size, then the ratio should be shown with a denominator of 1. If you’re scaling down, that is, if the scaled size is smaller than the actual size, then the ratio should be shown with a numerator of 1. The next step is to reduce or simplify the fraction. ![]() So, the scale factor is a ratio of the scaled size to the real size. Since the scale factor is a ratio, the first step to finding it is to use the following formula: ![]() ![]() ![]() Older versions of gcc might work as well but they are not tested anymore.
